Lindsey Gagliardi created L. Marie Sales in 2017 after leaving the fashion world in New York City for Boston. After being introduced to Free People Wholesale in 2010 during a college internship at a specialty boutique in New England, she later managed a Free People Retail location in Connecticut and eventually landed her dream job in the Free People New York Showroom.

Now Lindsey manages the New England territory independently with her four pawed assistants, Basil and Layla.
